How to “dress” our Artificial Plants and Trees

In News

Upon receipt of your new artificial plants and trees, you will notice that they have been securely packaged within the box for transportation, thus requiring some simple dressing and styling to achieve a truly natural effect.

The majority of our plants and trees have discreet wires within the branches or foliage, enabling them to be shaped and manipulated to emulate the natural species.

We find the best method is to gently press down upon the spine of the branch with your thumb to coax and shape to your desire.

Some of the foliage may have become slightly creased whilst in transit. Again, these can be manipulated by hand or they can be left to naturally “drop out” within a few days.

Depending on the variety of the plant or tree, different levels of dressing and styling will be required. For example, our areca palm trees will require an arch-like shaping to produce the most realistic effect with the majority of fronds pointing downwards (as per the photographs). This can be done several times until you are pleased with the overall effect.

Please refer to the photographs on our site for a visual reference for dressing and styling our plants and trees.
