Where should it be placed?
Once opened and aired out, this Japanese Maple tree is great for all types of rooms around the home or office. It would sit nicely alongside an empty space.
Is it UV Resistant?
Yes, all of our plants and trees are sprayed with UV resistant coating when they are manufactured.
To make our outdoor plants UV resistant we add a premium grade chemical stabiliser, absorber and/ or blocker during the manufacturing stage. This addition absorbs the harmful UV light, protecting the plastic’s colour and structural integrity.
Can it be used outdoors?
It can, however, this will limit the lifespan of the tree and may cause damage to the leaves. If placed outdoors we would highly recommend an area which is protected from extreme weather conditions such as strong winds and frost as persistent exposure could lead to damage. In addition to being relatively sheltered, the area must also be well ventilated, allowing the tree to dry out should it get wet.
However, there are still many, many variables which make it tough to specify an exact lifespan for artificial plants. Other variables include your geographical location, altitude, reflection & weather.
What Planter/Pot and Stones do you recommend?
For this tree, we recommend a 20cm planter. Once the plant has been positioned in the planter, pack the cavity between the plastic plant pot and the planter with paper, foam or a similar material. Please ensure that the packing is put in tightly as this will improve the plant's stability.
Are they lifelike?
Yes, they do have a very lifelike look upon first glance.
What about on-going maintenance?
There’s no need to water or re-pot your tree unless you want to change the planter, simply wipe down with a damp cloth from time to time to remove any dust from the leaves.
